Ms Looi Pei Shan

An experienced Clinical Psychologist and a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society.
Her journey in psychology and mental health started more than a decade ago.
She has extensive experience working with both local and expatriate clients across the lifespan, from adolescents to young, middle-aged, and older adults across diverse settings in public hospitals at both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics, private hospitals, community and social service agencies.
Before joining the private practice, Pei Shan worked at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), respectively.
Over the years, Pei Shan has worked with a myriad of psychological/clinical presentations including but not limited to mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, stress and burnout, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, life transition and adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, interpersonal, identity and relationship difficulties.
Apart from individual and group psychotherapy, Pei Shan is also proficient and has a keen interest in conducting neuropsychological assessments.
She is also experienced in child custody evaluation.
The core of her practice philosophy is to create a therapeutic safe space and adopt a person-centered approach tailored to suit the unique experiences and needs of the individual.
While trained in various evidenced-based therapeutic modalities, she employs and integrates them flexibly in working with clients to help them develop deeper insights of their experiences and to facilitate personal growth, empowerment and healing in ways that draw on their strengths and values.
She is most passionate about working with individuals struggling with emotional and relational difficulties.
Her therapy style is empathic, personable and collaborative. In addition, Pei Shan has conducted workshops and training sessions on mental health related topics to allied health professionals and social service agencies. She has also published papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
Pei Shan is comfortable working with culturally diverse clients. She offers both individual therapy and neuropsychological assessments in English and Mandarin.
